Managing a business in the service sector can be challenging, as there are many examples of customers not receiving the service they would have paid for. This may cause the business to lose customer orders. Unlike a manufacturing operation which allows one to follow a basic recipe or formula that results in the output of a particular product, service industries are a little different and consequently, the must be treated as such.

 This course will seek to provide students with the tools and techniques necessary to enable them to improve performances in the service industries. The focus will be on the service sector in general so that a wide range of industries will be addressed.
