Course Code: SEM205

Regardless of the type of career students believe they want to pursue, it is important for them to keep their options open when studying.  Universities and other tertiary institutions are complex and each has a distinct culture.  Students will face a variety of challenges as they adapt to a new environment, and are expected to enhance their knowledge and exhibit sophistication in their learning abilities while also adapting to university life.

University students are required to be familiar with the new culture and to embrace the attitudes and values necessary for them to be academically successful.  This seminar exposes school leavers and young adults who will be pursuing tertiary education to the expectations of the diverse environment they will encounter.
