The course in Transportation and Logistics is designed to introduce students to the fundamental elements of the modes of transportation, global supply chains and commonly used international shipping terminology. Students will also gain an understanding of logistics and the actions involved in moving goods and materials from one point to another.

Logistics management includes the actions of transporting products via road, rail, water and air. This course will explain each mode of transportation, regulation and deregulation of transportation, government oversight, the optimum methods of transportation and the advantages and disadvantages of each mode.
