CertaPet Reviews Are Fake
1 month 6 days ago #43635 by odenvale
I’m posting this because after using CertaPet.com and then looking back at their online reputation, it became very clear to me that something doesn’t add up. Based on my experience, many of the CertaPet reviews look fake, staged, or heavily manipulated.
This is my personal opinion, but the red flags are too obvious to ignore.

My Actual Experience vs What Reviews Claim

Before ordering, I saw tons of glowing reviews claiming CertaPet was “professional,” “life-changing,” and “extremely supportive.” After actually paying and going through the process, the reality was completely different.
My experience included:
Poor and slow communication
Vague answers to important questions
A generic, rushed ESA letter
No real follow-up after delivery
Nothing about the service matched the picture painted by the reviews.

Why the Reviews Look Fake to Me

After my experience, I re-read the reviews more carefully, and that’s when things started to look suspicious:
Many reviews use the same marketing language
Most are extremely positive with no real details
Almost none mention delays, rejections, or problems
Critical or negative experiences are hard to find
The tone feels promotional, not personal
Real customers usually mention both positives and negatives. CertaPet’s reviews mostly read like advertisements.

No Accountability After Payment
Another major issue is that once you receive the letter, CertaPet is basically done with you. If a landlord questions the letter or asks for verification, support becomes limited and unhelpful.
A legitimate service should stand behind its product. In my case, CertaPet did not.

Feels Like Image Management, Not Real Service
What bothers me most is that it feels like CertaPet focuses more on managing its online image than actually improving the service. The reviews make it look safe and trustworthy, but the real experience feels rushed, shallow, and careless.

Final Thoughts
In my opinion, CertaPet reviews are not reliable, and the service does not live up to what those reviews promise. I regret trusting them and wish I had looked deeper before ordering.
If anyone else here has used CertaPet, please share your honest experience. The gap between the reviews and reality is too big to ignore.

I had a very similar experience, and I agree—something about CertaPet does not add up.

The biggest issue is the gap between the reviews and the actual service. Like you, I went in expecting a professional, supportive process based on what I read online. What I received instead was generic, rushed, and transactional. Once payment is made, the sense of responsibility seems to disappear.

What stands out most is that CertaPet does not provide any legal “certification”, despite how their marketing and reviews may make it seem. There is no official ESA certification system, and what they sell is essentially a paid online letter—not a legally guaranteed document. That reality is rarely reflected in the glowing reviews.

The reviews themselves are a red flag:

Repetitive, marketing-style language

Overwhelmingly positive with no nuance

Almost no mention of problems, delays, or rejections

Very little detail that sounds like a real customer journey

That’s not how honest customer feedback usually looks.

Support after delivery is another major concern. If a landlord questions the letter or asks for verification, the company does not meaningfully stand behind the product. A legitimate service should offer accountability beyond sending a PDF.

Overall, it feels less like a healthcare-related service and more like image management and aggressive marketing. Based on my experience, the reviews cannot be trusted at face value, and I also regret not researching more deeply before using CertaPet.

Thanks for sharing your experience—it’s important people see posts like this before spending their money.
